On November 26th, 2011; a group of bloggers and social activist from Accra organized the first Barcamp in Tamale at the Tamale Polythenic ICT Auditorium. The event was to sensitize participants on exploring ways of using ICT in Business and other ventures.
In total, there were about 150 attendants who were mostly from Accra, Kumasi and other parts of the 3 Northern Regions. Below is a photo of the participants.

Mac-Jordan, a Blogger from Accra presented on the benefits of
Social Media and Mobile Technology in Africa at the event. He highlighted on emerging trends in Africa.
The participants were very thankful to the organizers and hoped for more future barcamps in the three Norther Regions.
